yet another bad photo

Taking the annual Christmas card picture is pure torture. I am convinced.
I am not auditioning for "awkward family photos" but it sure seems like it. Two in a row! Woo!

This was supposed to be our Christmas card picture. It is so not going to be.

Here are the reasons why:
1. we are all squinty eyed, this was the first time we were visiting big tall family and it the weather was sunny, they live by Lake Erie and it is always dreary there
2. my hair looks goofy
3. Big Tall Hubby is in the midst of his full blown Bell's Palsy so he would not smile
4. you can see my big tall in-laws dog peeking out the door and my dog's pug butt is there too if you look hard enough, why does it appear in all my pictures?
5. I am sitting goofy
6. I just look plain goofy

So everyone else looks pretty good, I guess it is just me that looks goofy. So therefore, I will not send this to my friends and family, near and far. (But I will post it here for the world to see! I'm warped I tell you.) My looking good in a photo is way more important than everyone else looking good, right? I mean, who cares if the kids are looking like gooney birds, they are gooney birds most of the time! You agree with my don't ya ladies?

Now you understand why I think it is pure torture.

That's why, except for last year, all of the Christmas cards we have sent have been just of Brady! I can't take the pressure...and I never like the way I look in pictures! Cause, in real life, I am tall, skinny and have dark hair! :) What about a picture of the kids in front of the Christmas tree? Sometimes the cutest pictures are when the kids aren't even looking at the camera. I was hoping to get a good picture of Brady while we were out hunting for our tree...but didn't really get one I love...so not sure what I will do. Hmmm???
I think you guys all look great...I'm sure whatever picture you choose your friends and family will be happy to receive it!

First of all, I think it's a lovely picture. Everyone's together & no one's crying or picking their nose!

Second, my sympathies to your husband. I had a bout with Bell's palsy years ago & it was just awful. I couldn't eat or drink without drooling. My one eye drooped, but I couldn't blink it so it was always dried out. Yeah, good times. I hope he's on the mend!

You have me giggling :) I can do that right? Because we are friends and I know the TORTURE you are talking about.

First of all, those kiddos are so cute, and healthy, and adorable. I can imagine just what that baby feels like. Solid and warm and totally yummy! I love him.

Second, you look just as adorable as they do. I mean really, all small and cute :)

Third, poor Big Tall. I really hope he is feeling better. Bless him for being such a good sport with the whole not being able to move his mouth into a smile thing.

Fourth, I love that you were going to get that picture done no matter what! Big Tall, too bad you can't smile, we have to get a Christmas picture TODAY or else! That's what I would have been saying at least. I yelled around for 30 minutes trying to get everyone to cooperate. We ended up with a terrible picture and me all crabby for another 30 minutes. UGH!!

I am not looking forward to our Christmas pic. I always am most critical of myself too.
